Sarina Temple

Teaching Artist

She/They/Friend

Sarina Temple is a queer brown person who creates art for and through her communities. Her goal in theater is to put underrepresented people on stage, behind stage, and in the audience. Her  drive  is communal art and well-being.  Her focus lies in decolonizing theater through a love ethic. Sarina utilizes theater as a tool for social justice and expression.  She works hard to break open the beautiful world of theater to her communities in a way that is properly and intelligently presented. Some works directed and choreographed include Skeleton Crew by Dominique Morrisseau, Rent by Jonathan Larson, and an adapted modern dance version of Little Red Riding Hood. She's taught for San Francisco State University, Contra Costa Civic Theater, Kid Stock Inc, and Digital Dreamers STEAM Academy in Rockridge CA.
