YOUR BEST AUDITION
With Joshua Waterstone
RED POPPY ART HOUSE

Looking your best at an audition is essential to achieving your goals in landing that lead role or getting into a performing arts school. This class covers the essential aspects of a strong audition, and is especially geared towards students interested in going to Ruth Asawa School of the Arts (SOTA), preparing for a high school play audition or even a BFA College program.

Choosing and Preparing Audition Materials: students will learn how to choose appropriate material with which to audition and prepare one or two monologues in different styles.

Improvisation and Interviewing: students will learn to work collaboratively in a group audition, as well as gain interview skills to present with poise and confidence.

The Audition Process: students will hone their audition materials and be given opportunities to perform in front of others.

Begins October 2020
